Def Comedy Jam, Starring George W. Bush!

You could almost hear the accomplished journalists at NPR rolling their collective eyes yesterday while reporting ‘President’ Bush’s intentions to veto, for a second time, a stem cell research bill because: “it is immoral to use taxpayer dollars to kill innocent lives.” That’s a good one, Mr. ‘President’! You’ve amassed so much good material over the last six plus years, you’re bound to get your own HBO Comedy Special! In any event, while I truly hate having to point out the obvious, Mr. ‘President’; YOU HAVE ALREADY USED BILLIONS OF TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO KILL INNOCENT LIVES!!!

So along with the aforementioned hypocrisy, while Bush constantly purports to be oh so concerned with the sacred nature of human life - this bill he vetoed “would have allowed research on fresh lines drawn from surplus embryos destined to be destroyed by fertility clinics” (emphasis mine). Hmmm, so if these embryos are already slated for the trash, Bush can’t really be all that concerned about the destruction of life after all, can he? I mean, the same argument could be made for the people in Iraq, right? They were all gonna get wiped out anyways! So what if we just hurry along the process?!

The New York Times, much like NPR, is also left scratching its head, pointing out just how ridiculous this all is: “At the same time, Mr. Bush issued an executive order intended to encourage scientists to pursue other forms of stem cell research that he does not deem unethical. But that research is already going on, and the plan provides no new money.” After all, we have to spend that money to continue destroying the Eye-raqis and their country; so go out there and just give it the old college try! Look how well the old college try worked out for our ‘President’!
