Will He or Won't He?!

Will he or won’t he? This apparently has been the question on everybody’s collective minds of late. No, not will Alberto Gonzales or Paul Wolfowitz finally resign (actually, it sounds as though the latter finally will), not will Vladimir Putin really cease and desist with his stand-offish behavior towards the west (not that I can really say I blame him), not even will President Bush and Vice President Cheney finally be brought up on crimes against the world and be impeached many times over… Nope, what everybody really wants to know is: “Will Prince Harry be shipped to Iraq, or won’t he?” Well, I think I know the answer; WHO THE BLOODY HELL CARES?!?! Yesterday it’s reported he won’t, today it’s reported he might, tomorrow… WHO THE BLOODY HELL CARES!!! Can we all just pretend for a moment or so that most westerners are not complete morons and that we all could benefit from some real news every now and again?!
Oh yeah, here’s another one: “Will Paris Hilton serve her entire jail sentence, or won’t she?” This time it’s more like: “Whatever! Like, who cairrres?!” I know now is not the most convenient of times to bring this up, what – with American Idol down to its final two and all, but the tenuous at best situation in Israel/Gaza is once again rapidly deteriorating and THAT is what we should be focusing our attention upon – since THAT conflict is truly at the heart of our ‘War on Terror’. If there was truly any interest in resolving our differences with the Islamic world, then that would have been a pretty darn good place to start. Also let’s try not to get too distracted by these ridiculous presidential debates and everything related to them (e.g. total first quarter donations, how many millions each major candidate has pulled down over the past year, etc. etc.). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; if the extremely pressing present day issues are not handled correctly – it won’t matter if Paris Hilton’s our next President, for we will already be like royally screwed.
