MI5

As if the international scene is not scary enough at this point in time, merry olde England must go ahead and attempt to scare us all (who are actually paying attention) even further with this months-old report from the UK’s MI5 agency, which incidentally hardly EVER makes press releases, stating: a) that some 2,000 people in the country are possible terrorists, b) there could possibly be 2,000 or so more, c) Russia, and d) China are still up to their old Cold War tricks by spying on us all!!! Next it will most certainly be disclosed that the MI5 has a strong evidence to support that Iran may or may not have clubbed a baby seal. This is of course eerily similar to the “be afraid, be very afraid” sentiments persistently coming down from our own government, so it should come as no surprise that Prime Minister Gordon Brown is at present attempting to pass legislation that would draw out doubly the detention of suspected terrorists sans charges.
